Meet Our Staff

Karmon Reese

Karmon has worked for the Sunshine Terrace Foundation for 23 years, beginning as a CNA in the Adult Day Center, and then moving to: Long Term Care, Dementia Care and then Head Nurse of the Rehab and later Sub Acute units. She feels very comfortable in the area of Health Care and no matter where she is, she always delivers 110%, putting everything she can into creating the best service possible for residents.

Over the years of working for Sunshine Terrace, Karmon has developed the “Train the Trainer” program for CNA’s. She presented this program in 2003 at the American Society on Aging (ASA) at their conference in Chicago, IL, and received the ASA Extendicare Award. Karmon also has compiled a training program for a 30 bed dementia care unit as well as a training booklet and job performance evaluations for: CNA’s, CNA coordinators, and CNA trainers in a 172 bed skilled facility.

Karmon is new to the UALA board this year, but she is excited and ready to stand side-by-side with so many amazing people. She feels so privileged to be part of an organization that is creating so many great opportunities while also advocating for what she believes in. Karmon loves what she does because she loves whom she is doing it for, and loves who she’s doing it with. Work doesn’t feel like a job to her, it’s comfortable, friendly, and its home.

Karmon Reese has lived in Cache Valley most of her life. She and her husband Tony have two adorable girls, Tasha (14) and Sierra (5). Karmon loves the outdoors! In the winter, she finds time to ski and snowmobile while in the summer, you’ll find her water-skiing and playing at their cabin near Bear Lake.

Nancy Bennett
Recreation Therapist

Nancy’s family is deeply rooted here in the valley and through all of Nancy’s life, she has always called Cache Valley “Home.” Nancy and her husband Jack are the proud parents of three children and the exceptionally proud grandparents of 8 grandchildren.

Nancy began working in the medical field in California and then transferred to Arizona for 18 years. She has worked in numerous areas including: Dermatology, Oncology, Obstetrics, Histology and Cytology. In early 2000, she joined the Sunshine Terrace staff, in Recreation Therapy. She has since then established an extremely successful program here at Terrace Grove that has received numerous awards and recognition both nationally and here in the community as well.

Outside of work Nancy enjoys taking the time to make memories with her family. They all have had the opportunity to travel to many parts of the world over the years; Ireland and Italy being their favorite countries due to her ancestral heritage and rich culture which abides there. Boating, camping and water skiing have also been a big part of her family activities; however, Nancy’s true passions lie in family history and writing.

Being a part of the Terrace Grove staff and making a difference in the lives of so many people has been one of the most fulfilling opportunities she has ever had and we know that Nancy takes the lead for our fun, friendly and enjoyable atmosphere here at Terrace Grove.
